Afyonkarahisar Business Women’s Association (AFIKAD) is a non-profit association established on November 30, 2015, with the efforts of 10 entrepreneurial women who have diverse occupations and members of Afyonkarahisar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Women Entrepreneurs Board and has 30 members by now. It is established based on the detection of the absence of a non-governmental organization for disadvantaged and working women in Afyonkarahisar.

The main priority of AFIKAD is to get in touch with disadvantaged women who have left school early ages or have worked for very low fees or have disabilities or socially inactive due to his family duties and to educate and support them in developing their life standards, social life and working conditions. The aim of AFIKAD is to develop the quantity and quality of women in the business world in Afyonkarahisar. Bringing women who have found their own business or considering to establish their own business or employed in any private sector or public sector under a single roof, we want to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support, find solutions to their sectoral problems, organize activities such as training, seminars, and conference in order to raise awareness in employment, offer them mentoring services and national recognition. AFIKAD will serve women in our province by carrying out sustainable activities in cooperation with the public sector, private sector, non-governmental organizations, and universities.

First project of AFIKAD was “Hand in Hand Mother and Child in Workforce” for the young people with disabilities and their psychologically deformed mothers, employed was accepted by the Department of Associations of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Turkish Republic. There were nine offical partners in this project include Governorate of Afyonkarahisar, Municipality of Afyonkarahisar, Republic of Turkey Afyonkarahisar Labor Agency, KOSGEB, Afyonkarahisar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Afyonkarahisar Commodity Exchange, Afyonkarahisar Insurance Agencies Association (AFSAD), Afyonkarahisar Canyetkin Special Education and Rehabilitation Center and American Culture Language Courses. Training and activities that was given to 120 disadvantaged women in this project are practical entrepreneurship, basic english, basic computer skill,knitting, housekeeping, basic measure skill, elemental diction skill, cooking, basic wait staff, elemental insurance seminars and social integration seminars.

 

Family and Social Policies Directorate of Afyonkarahisar is one of the 81 directorates of Turkish Republic Ministry of Family and Social Policies and it is a non-profit public body. We have 11 structures which serve for geriatrics, children and women in Afyonkarahisar. In these 11 structures, totally, 500 staff works. Among these staffs there are phycologists, social workers, child development experts, lawyers, nurses, physiotherapists, deaf languages therapists and researchers are working.

In our directorate, we have a Department of Women Services, which help women, who applied to our department, by the social, phycological, economic and juristicial ways. According to problem type of women our lawyers, phycologists and other experts give counseling services to this disadvantaged women. As an example, our finance experts give counseling about unrequited economic funds for women, who have financial difficulties.In the women’s shelter of Afyonkarahisar office affiliated to the directorate, services are provided for women who are victims of physical, sexual, phychological or economic violance with no discrimination and only taking into account the woman’s declaration.

Care is taken to ensure the privacy and security of the female guest house and services are provided at the appropriate premises provided tha each room is provided with a room for each family. Also In women’s shelter, the conflict between women’s family or husband is examined and regarding to solve problems, and with directing to them responding institutions, and these institutions women can take security, consultancy, psychological, legal and medical support, temporary payment aid, nursery, training course, team working, scholarship for kids, social, artistic and sportive activities.

In addition, the women and their children’s, who stays in women’s shelter, allowance, clothing and education expenses, are paid in Ministry’s budget. Moreover, regarding to different problems which are appeared, will be solved by well-disciplined team working understanding.

Summary of our main duties are:
– Coordinating the assistance activities for disadvantaged groups of the society
– Coordinating the determination of policies and strategies for prevention of discrimination of women and women rights
– Social sevices for women and coordinating and bringing together public bodies and volunteer association for this services.

 

ANKARA HACI BAYRAM VELI UNIVERSITY, was born from the Gazi University that established in 1926 and is one of Turkey's first educational institution. Founded on May 18, 2018 in accordance with the Higher Education Law No. 7141, AHBV University continues its activities with its 93 years of education experience as well as its assurance of strong academic staff and physical infrastructure. As of today, AHBV University, with 9 Faculty, 3 vocational school of higher education, 3 Colleges and 1 conservatory is one of the most experienced, youngest, qualifications higher education institution in the Turkey.

 

ORKON is an international engineering, training, consulting and project design organisation in Turkey. It has 3 main departments dealing with the design of projects and its European Projects Unit in the organisation deals with engineering European Vocational Training Projects. It uses & combines its engineering experience in the European Union projects and knows that taking part in Life Long Learning is a great investment for the future educational development, therefore ORKON puts forth a great effort in providing a high quality service throughout partnership, transfer & development of innovation & Erasmus Plus projects. ORKON is a very active key player in the management & coordination of European projects & has high experience in writing, performing the European projects & manages the consortium fulfilling the project goals.

IDEC is a training consulting company located in Piraeus, Greece. Its activities consist of training, management consulting, quality assurance, evaluation and development of ICT solutions for both private and public sector. Clients of IDEC are both SMEs and the bigger Greek companies of a wide variety of sectors. IDEC co-operates with more than 170 institutes all through Europe and with about 300 experts on specific fields.

IDEC has extensive experience in European projects, either as coordinator or as partner from different European programs and Initiatives. The last 8 years IDEC is dealing with the theme of quality assurance in training and has coordinated the projects EQUAL, Quality.net and BEQUAL in the same subject. Moreover, IDEC has consulting experience in developing quality management systems in Greek training centres.

IDEC organises in-service training courses for teachers and trainers, organises study visits and informal learning activities for students in initial education and training and provides training courses and workplacements for students in vocational training and people in labour market. The main areas of expertise are: management consulting, business plans, entrepreneurship, SMEs, quality management, certification, software and multimedia development, internet applications, distance learning, e-business, e-commerce, telecommunications and networks. In the field of LLL IDEC has experience in European policies regarding LLL and in particular EQF, ECVET, Europass, EQAVET, validation of non-formal and informal learning and in national reforms of education and training systems.

Operational and financial management:

European projects in IDEC are managed by a separate department specialized in international cooperation projects. IDEC has successfully participated in numerous EU projects and is highly experienced in both the operational requirements of such projects and the EU program regulations. Specific persons will be assigned to the project based on their expertise and will follow the project throughout its duration. For the financial management, IDEC keeps fully systematised accounting records, which allow traceability and identification of all costs and revenue generated per project. IDEC also employs specialised accountants, for the internal accounting and auditing procedures.

Certifications and Quality Systems:

IDEC is a certified Lifelong Learning Centre from EOPPEP (Greek National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance), with License No: 2100223. Also, IDEC has a certified quality management system according to ISO 9001:2008 standard in the scope of “DESIGN, DΕVΕLΟΡΜΕΝΤ AND PROVΙSION OF ΤRAΙNING SERVΙCES, PROVISION OF CONSULΤΙNG SERVΙCES, ΙΜΡLΕΜΕΝΤΑΤΙΟΝ OF ENΤERPRΙSES, DEVELOPMENΤ AND ORGANΙZAΤΙON PLANS, DEVELOPMENΤ OF SOFΤWARE AND ΙΝΤΕRΝΕΤ ΑΡΡLΙCΑΤΙΟΝS”. IDEC has been active the last 20 years in the field of EU projects. It participates and/or consults its customers (organisations, NGOs, universities and SMEs) to participate in European projects, in order to expand their activities. As a training and business consulting company, IDEC is very active in entrepreneurship for young and adult people and specifically for women.

It has implemented, amongst others, the following initiatives:

NET 31 REM: Creation of a European Network in 31 countries for gender mainstreaming
Defeminization of Poverty: A blended training program incorporating on-line and in-class training material, suitable for literate but in most cases educationally deficient small entrepreneurs and candidate entrepreneurs, aiming to reach primarily women (%75 Women, %25 Men).
TEMPO: Women’s open & distant learning training programme for the creation of private agencies of handicrafts products
UPDATE for Technology Education (FP6 – Science and Society): The European research programme UPDATE improves science and technology teaching in Europe by providing best practises and new learning material to attract more young people, especially girls, to technology.
KNOWMAKERS: Knowledge management in SMEs.
EURO-SME’S: Electronic business within transnational networks of small and medium-sized enterprises as a contribution to job-oriented further education, technical progress and employment
QMS (Quality Management Systems training in SMEs): Training on ISO-9001 targeted on specific sectors in SMEs.
VITA – Virtual Learning for the management of successful SMEs in Europe: It presents an innovative approach to learn and practice entrepreneurship and business management competence, based on the results of different projects, concerning web 2.0 based and virtualization strategies.I
DEC will also contribute to the project though its active network with both Employers’ Associations (e.g. the Association of SA and Ltd companies – 3000 members) and Workers’ Associations (e.g. OBES – Federation of Industrial Workers Unions).

 

University of Ljubljana (UL) implements and promotes basic, applied and developmental research and is pursuing excellence and the highest quality as well as the highest ethical criteria in all scientific fields . UL is organized in more than 20 faculties with around 1600 employees, and UL is listed amongst the top 500 universities in the world according to the ARWU Shanghai, Times THES-QS and WEBOMETRICS rankings. The Faculty of Education of the University of Ljubljana educates and trains teachers and other professional workers in the field of education. We train all kinds of professionals, from preschool and primary teachers to teachers who are specialists in teaching two subjects or subject areas in primary school, as well as in lower and upper secondary school. Department for Physics and Technology Education is focused on education and training of future teachers of Science and Technology subject matter (S&T). Along with pedagogical work, department staff is actively involved in research and development of educational technologies , learning and teaching methods and forms development, design of new age learning environments etc. Department also develops green pedagogy and Faculty of Education at UL obtained award and an indication of an ECO faculty.

 

GUIMEL: The company’s purpose, in France, on European and international level is to promote the social and professional inclusion of people with different backgrounds: the improvement and harmonization of skills, development of interaction between international institutions, public and private companies, promoting of professional mobility, as well as actions of engineering, training, innovation, consulting, translation, event-organization, and generally, all financial, commercial, industrial, securities and property, related directly or indirectly to the above mentioned purpose or to any similar or related purposes, such as facilitating its expansion or development.

The aim of GUIMEL is the development of autonomy, empowerment, increasing professional and social skills.Guimel also participates in EU projects corresponding to the European qualification values. Guimel has strong abilities to identify strengths, weaknesses and difficulties that citizens face when trying to integrate themselves in their social environment and to identify their competencies and abilities that can be mobilised to get success. Analyse of the local environment for employment and social integration, GUIMEL proposes accompanying for beneficiaries in their daily life to overpass their difficulties, favouring their social and professional inclusion.Due to the training (in large sense) abilities of Guimel staff, trainings and supports are developed, and provided. Guimel has a network of partners devoted to social support and training organisations at local and international level.

 

Danmar Computers is a private company providing vocational training in the field of Information Technology and developing e-learning and customised ICT solutions. It deals with: trainings, developing programs and training materials, counselling, designing web pages and mobile applications, web campaigns and e-learning systems. The technical staff has capability to develop any modern web and mobile applications, utilizing database technologies, web servers and application servers. That includes social and cloud services, both from client and server side. Danmar Computers has designed and developed a project management system – AdminProject. It currently is the only product on the market dedicated to the management of European projects.

Besides expertise related to IT area, Danmar has experience of many years of carrying out European Union educational programs including: Progress, Transfer of Innovation, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci and Grundtvig Partnerships. Within the framework of the projects employees work on methodologies of research, conduct research, elaborate reports, design curricula and training materials which often are prepared as an answer to the needs of concrete group of people. A significant area of activities is entrepreneurship education. As natural field of activity of Danmar Computers is the IT sector, the company often creates various IT tools that support project activities (on-line questionnaires, interactive trainings, mobile applications or Internet based dissemination campaigns).

All company’s activities are based on the well-established network of cooperation with domestic and foreign training and counselling organisations, schools, universities, public institutions as well as private sector companies. The activities are directed to various target groups. A significant group of people are young people for whom special training programs are being designed. A special attention is put on those young people that are disadvantaged, which often means that they are unemployed, not in education or training (NEETs).

In summary, Danmar’ mission is promoting life-long education and assuring equal opportunities of access to education for everyone with the use of modern technology and with innovative training methodologies.
